Yes, cosplay isn't always easy. So if anyone needs any cosplay help, ask here. I have a little experience with sewing and will be glad to give anyone advice if they need it ^__^ Gothic Lolita is NOT cosplay, btw...so start another thread if you need gothic lolita help/info! I would certainly love to discuss gothic lolita fashion if anyone is interested.

Yo... I be needing a cosplay thingamabober for the upcoming con (theres bound to be one soon) (not sure what its called or when it is exactly tho)

I'd LIKE to go as Kain Highwind, or if thats impractical, Magus.

here's some pictures of what they look like

Kain Highwind:

Magus:

Now, I would know where to start with Magus a lil better, because most of his stuff is cloth, and while he does have a scythe, It's not all that neccicary, as he's actually a mage...

Kain wears armor, which I'm kinda clueless as to how to duplicate that... and he's rather known for his using a spear...

Also on the pro-Kain side, I'll need a wig for Magus... whereas Kain wears a helmet. And I get the impression that poofy hair isnt exactly wig friendly, so I'd have to figure out something for that as well.

So... if anyone has any ideas on how to do any of the following, please share:

Armor (blue armor, including a dragoon helmet)

Spear (Okay, I can probobly handle this on my own, but feel free to share if u have any not-so-obvious ideas)

or...

Robes/cloaks

Elbow length brown leather gloves

Simmilar boots

Long straight light blue hair

Scythe (optional) (sorta)

wow pretty cool stuff there! id go with Magus also, it seems easier for a beginner. the wig should be fairly simple to find, if you have money...wigs arent very cheap. i know that the gloves and the boots are also going to be pretty easy to find if you know where to search, which is mainly onine. let me know if you need any help getting started.

The next con is Shiokazecon! it is late April!! oh except for the con going on this very moment, Ushicon, which obviously is too soon for you to prepare any cosplay XD

lol...

I'll probobly IM u sometime soon anyways, so thanx!

Although I do wonder if wig shops are likely to sell long straight light blue hair wigs... or is it possible to dye wigs as well? unsure.gif I suppose I'll learn soon 'nuff

dying wigs is a VERY bad idea, i think it can be done, ..but it depends on the type of wig. most cant handle it. you might be able to spray color it though, my friend did that once and it looked ok. i suggest you start at party city and see if they have any you like.
