So here, feel free to rant about what annoys you about school, whether it be the stress, the unreasonable expectations, the price of textbooks, you get the idea. I'll start off.

$120 for a trig textbook is insane! Do they think we're made of money! mad.gif *GRRRRR*

HAH, I got my Cal book for $0!!!

But, I have lots of homework coming up... first day I got 2 sections of Discrete Math to do in 2 days, and a thingy for my Cornerstones... I shudder to think how tomorrow will go (with all my 4 classes, including Cal and comp sci 1, and 2 others I forgot...)

Indeed. My English teacher is awesome, but his essay prompts are kinda nebulous. I did pretty good on the last one, though. The semester is going pretty, good, but I must rant about this:

HOW could they put the induction ceremony for Phi Theta Kappa on the same Friday as ONI CON!!!

In my biblical foundations class... I have recieved the followign assignments:

2 page bio essay, about me (not bad)
3 page essay on the historical background of Jeremiah 12-22 (sigh... a bit of a stretch for 10 verses)
2 pages on one word out of those 10 verses... (a whole lotta stretch)

and then thers the parts where the teacher gives us an extra page to write on our paper, saying its either that, or have a test the next week that we'll have to study for... and then we get the test the next week anyways... having been busy writing another page, instead of studying for the test...

Obviously not... although I see little relation between lots of irrelivant posts and a small squishy meat-like substance...

How'd "spam" get named after spam anyways? Did people get actual spam in the mail a lot back in the day of good ol snail mail? Kinda like those free samples of Tide?

Whatever the case, I would like to point out how ironic this semester is that I like my discrete math teacher the most, and my computer science teacher the least, and my english teacher the second least... which is (may I point out) exactly opposite of last year

My history teachers alright, but since I didnt take that last year I cant really compare the two... and admittedly I'm taking a harder CS, but I still havent learned a thing from my teacher... nor have I been assigned anything, nor has he even used the book yet...

But I digress... I would also like to once again point out the 1nsane price of books

I think the term "spam" comes from Monty Python. I believe it's documented in the wiki article on spam.

As for books... $100 for my comp sci book, and I can't even buy it til Friday, since I spent all my money on all the other textbooks I need! Why am I bothering to get a degree when I could just go into textbook publishing?! *RANTS*
